Participatory Budgeting 2018: Voting FAQs

Four community-led local food initiatives have been submitted for funding and now it’s your chance to vote on what you would most like to see happen in our community.

Who can vote?
Anyone who lives, works, studies or volunteers in the Whau Local Board area and is aged 18 or over can vote.

How can I vote?
Eligible people can vote at the community participatory budgeting event, at a local community facility, or online.

Vote at a local community facility
Voting stations will be set up at community facilities in the Whau Local Board area, from Monday 23 April to Monday 30 April. During those days, you can cast your vote in person. We will announce the facilities and opening hours shortly.

If you can’t make it along to the community participatory budgeting event or a local community facility, there’s also an option to vote online. Vote online here.

Vote at EcoDay on Sunday, 15 April 2018
EcoDay is your opportunity to get to know the proposed local food initiatives better before you cast your vote. The people who have applied for funding will be on hand to answer your questions from 12.30 – 2.30pm. Please come to the Kai Auckland stall.
